It has been tough sledding for Ubisoft lately when it comes to Watch Dogs 2. What could’ve been one of the surprise bombshell announcements of E3 2016 has instead been beset on all sides by leaks that, while generating a lot of hype in their own right, have certainly dulled gamer anticipation ahead of Ubisoft’s E3 2016 presentation. While Watch Dogs 2 will undoubtedly remain one of the more intriguing sequels on display at E3 this year, Ubisoft can’t be particularly pleased with how frequently the game has appeared in news headlines that the publisher hadn’t intended on creating.
Of course, the first leak for the game - when Watch Dogs 2 was accidentally confirmed by a developer over a year ago - set a precedent for huge, premature news announcements for Ubisoft’s highly anticipated sequel. Tonight, however, might be the biggest leak yet, as a new Watch Dogs 2 trailer featured prominently as a Twitch commercial and revealed a lot of previously unknown information regarding the game.
