Title Update 3.0 is now available for Watch Dogs: Legion on PC. Although Ubisoft didn’t mention a release date for the patch on consoles, it did reveal that Title Update 3.0 includes files that will be used for an upcoming technical test of the Watch Dogs: Legion Online Mode.

Originally slated to launch before the end of 2020, the game’s Online Mode was pushed back to a 2021 release so the team could focus on squashing bugs in Legion’s single-player campaign. Title Update 3.0 brings the long-awaited multiplayer mode one step closer to reality, as Ubisoft has confirmed assets for a closed multiplayer technical test are included in the latest TU.

“The patch will be between 10-15 GB and includes various fixes and improvements detailed below, along with files that will be used for a closed technical test for the Watch Dogs: Legion Online Mode,” reads the patch notes. " The focus of the tech test is on service stability and ensuring a smooth Online Mode launch as our dev team gathers data from a larger sample size of players."

While it’s great to see Ubisoft chugging along with multiplayer behind the scenes, we still don’t have a firm release date, as the patch notes also said, “We know you are very keen on learning about the exact launch date for the Online Mode of Watch Dogs: Legion and we will have more information coming to you soon.”

Meanwhile, you can enjoy the rest of Title Update 3.0, which includes a laundry list of fixes. Here are a few of the highlights:

  • Implemented various quality of life improvements for the User Interface on PC, including several fixes to unclickable option buttons. Fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash when deleting a save file. Fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash when the game was booted in DirectX 12 mode. Fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash when changing any option in the gameplay tab from the main menu.
