Are you itching for a horror game that will test your resolve? Then you have to check out The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters, a narrative-driven Korean horror game that’s coming to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on June 19.
From the developers at Devespresso Games, The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is the sequel to The Coma: Cutting Class (and its remastered edition The Coma: Recut). The game followers high schooler Mina Park, a young girl from Sehwa High School, who finds herself trapped in a nightmarish version of her high school. To make matters worse, a flesh-eating creature who bears an eerily resemblance to her teacher starts ruthlessly chasing her. Mina must figure out a way not only to escape the hellish horrors of her high school, but also to survive the night.
The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters was released for PC and Mac devices via Steam this past February, but will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 this week. YouTuber Nintendo Hall has obtained a preview of the Switch port of the game and recently posted the first twenty-seven minutes of gameplay to their YouTube channel.
Though the game takes a couple of hours to fully complete, the first twenty-seven minutes cover a pretty significant amount of story, including Mina’s last “normal” day at school and her awakening during the eponymous horrific “coma.” The preview also features a look at the game’s charming comic book-like art style, a listen to the perfectly fitting environmental soundtrack, and a chance for interested players to see the complex and layered gameplay as Mina explores her hellish high school.
Players will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in this creepy universe, full of ominous music, jumpscares, and narrative twists and turns. Mina will have to rely on her wit and critical thinking in order to escape the coma, but even in moments of deep concentration, she can never forget about the monstrous and blood-thirsty entities lurking in the corners looking to kill.
The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters will be released for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on June 19 for $14.99. It was released for PC and Mac devices via Steam earlier this past February.
