Phil Szostak, Lucasfilms’ creative art manager, has released art books for each of the three newest Star Wars movies. The latest compilation, The Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, just hit shelves.

The book is a collection of works from different concept artists, each image a piece of inspiration behind the making of The Rise of Skywalker. One particular drawing by Jake Lunt Davies caught the eyes (and hearts) of fans: a sketch of a BB-8 Resistance tank. The creation is glorious, and put simply, it needs to be added into Star Wars: Battlefront II.

I mean, just imagine playing this lil guy in giant tank form.

It would be a godless killing machine, no doubt, but a cute one at that. Whoever scratched the idea of a BB-8 tank should certainly be fired immediately… but I digress. Davies did claim that the sketch was just for fun, and that he was “not sure [he] would have actually wanted to see it realized in the final film.” However, it’s safe to say that we definitely want to see more of this idea.

Battlefront II would be a great medium for interacting with a BB-8-styled vehicle, so hopefully some developers catch wind of the creative concept art and find a way to get it done.
