The latest patch to Call of Duty: Warzone finally fixes the weapon model corruption bug that was ruining so many games.

A new update went out yesterday for Warzone that players are already applauding. The patch came as the result of a new bug that was terrorizing Warzone games and robbing players of their rightfully deserved victories.

The bug caused weapon models and even some other in-game objects to become a jagged collection of shifting polygons that were impossible to see through. This issue could range from mildly annoying such as a few jagged lines popping out of your MP5 to an enemy that is completely obscured by a horrific digital porcupine making it impossible to properly line up your shots.

Thankfully, Infinity Ward had a pretty good turn-around from when reports of the bug surfaced to a patch being pushed out. It was just a few days since acknowledging the problem that the developer pushed out a fix.

While the latest update should prevent more scenes like this, it does come at a price for Xbox One users. The PS4 and PC patches are both around 1 GB, a fairly standard size for a PC patch these days, but the Xbox One patch is a whopping 66 GB.

“Due to an unforeseen bug with the Microsoft patch delivery process, this download requires Xbox users to redownload files they already have, but it does NOT impact the overall install size,” wrote Infinity Ward in the patch notes. “We’re working closely with Microsoft to ensure future updates are smaller in size.”

This latest patch puts Warzone’s Xbox One install size at just under 100 GB large, while the full Call of Duty: Modern Warfare install size is around 183 GB. That’s nothing compared to PC’s full install size, which now tops out at 227 GB.

On the plus side, at least you shouldn’t be dying to a spiky blob in the final circle anymore.
